New sign, new work.

Well, after a long hiatus at last the new Cottleston sign is up on the fence, and inside there are two large rooms full of interesting paintings for your perusal.  They include two of Katherine Steeds' painstakingly detailed diary-like works,  as well as a number from this artist that have not been exhibited publicly before.
"Bees and Birds" will end on the 10th of May.
New: This exhibition has been extended until 30 May.

March Update

A lovely steady stream of visitors have been calling in to see
E A R T H  + W A T E R + F I R E  at Cottleston since the opening last Friday.
It is great to have the opportunity to share Andrew Caldwell's and my works.
I love that a number of visitors have been sharing their own experiences of Hawkes Bay as well as holiday travels in other parts of New Zealand, prompted by the beautiful landscapes on the walls.
There are just three more days to go to catch this exhibition, which closes this Sunday.
Normal opening hours are 11am - 4.30pm.
These will be extended just for this Friday 6th and Saturday 7th to:  9.30am - 6.30pm.

Visitors are welcome to view the current gallery collection at other times. Please simply phone for an appointment.

Cottleston Gallery Opens in Tauranga

Recently opened in Tauranga, New Zealand, Cottleston Gallery is located within the city boundary and just a hundred meters off State Highway 29.

Open for exhibitions at selected times of the year, and at other times to view the private art collection (by appointment only), this lovely character house is at least 100 years old.

At the moment it is covered in the lovely scented wisteria blooms that climb over the two front verandahs.
